ABOUT OUR PHILANTHROPY

Arthritis

Alpha Omicron Pi’s international philanthropy is arthritis, and our philanthropy partner is the Arthritis Foundation. Since 1967, members and chapters have raised millions of dollars to fund research, provide resources, and support those affected by arthritis, a disease that disproportionately impacts women and also affects children.

AOII’s philanthropy dollars support several impactful Arthritis Foundation initiatives, including the Juvenile Arthritis Power Pack program, Juvenile Arthritis Camps, the Juvenile Arthritis Family Summit, and the 24/7 Helpline. Our Canadian sisters proudly support The Arthritis Society of Canada, furthering our shared mission to fight arthritis and improve lives.

OUR Local Efforts

Zeta Chapter is incredibly passionate about giving back to the community which supports us in so many ways. Two of our larger philanthropic events, Cookies and Cocoa and April Flowers, are both opportunities for the public to get involved with our community service and give back locally while enjoying a sweet treat or bouquet of flowers! Alongside these events, members of the chapter can often be found volunteering with organizations local to Lincoln; examples of such include People's City Mission, CEDARS, the Capital Humane Society, Pemberly Place Senior Living, and Lincoln Public Schools.
