Letter from the President

Hi, everyone and welcome to AOII’s Zeta Chapter at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! My name is Jordyn Zehr and I am so honored to serve as our Chapter President for 2024! I’m so grateful to lead such an amazing chapter; Alpha Omicron Pi is filled with passionate, inspiring, supportive, and kind women that I am lucky to surround myself with daily. Coming to college, I never could have predicted the impact that AOII would have on me. From the very first day, I was welcomed with open arms by people who quickly became my closest friends and my unwavering support system. Navigating the many challenges college throws at us can be difficult, but I am always reassured knowing that an AOII will be there to help me get back on my feet. Whether it's a movie marathon in the rec room, a dance party in the shag, a late-night study session, or a last minute ice cream run, my memories are filled with the genuine support and friendship that thrives in our home. This chapter has inspired and allowed me to grow in countless ways. Personally, academically, and professionally, AOII has pushed me to continually show up as the best version of myself. The courageous, kind, hardworking, and ambitious women in our chapter are a constant source of inspiration to me.AOII is filled with a diverse group of women, yet we are united in our commitment to creating a true sisterhood. It is a place where differences are celebrated and each member is accepted for who they are.Alpha Omicron Pi has undoubtedly been the best thing I’ve been a part of. It’s more than just an organization; it’s a family. I am eternally grateful for the experiences, friendships, and opportunities that AOII has provided me. As you explore our website, I hope you get a sense of the love, support, and sisterhood that define our chapter. We look forward to welcoming many new members this upcoming year and continuing to build lifelong bonds. To the women of AOII: Thank you for all that you do and all that you are. Each of you brings something unique and valuable to our chapter, and I am endlessly grateful for the friendships and bonds we share. Your dedication and enthusiasm inspire me every day, and I’m truly blessed to call AOII my home.To potential new members: I’m so excited that you are here! This is the beginning of an unforgettable journey, and I encourage you to embrace every moment. College flies by so quickly, and before you know it, you’ll be in my shoes: a senior who is not even close to being ready for graduation! Recruitment is an experience unlike any other, filled with opportunities to meet incredible people and find your place within our vibrant community. Make sure to show up fully, stay true to yourself, and have fun! Engage in every conversation, ask questions, and let your authentic self shine. Trust the process, and know that you are on the path to finding a sisterhood that will support, uplift, and celebrate you throughout your college years and beyond.
